Description
As our Onboarding Lead, you will play a defining role in ensuring new users of Nice Engine feel confident and supported. Our onboarding aims to be a personalized hands-on training process where each user is coached using the Nice Engine for their individual role in the context of their specific knowledge and skill set. In this role, you will coach pricing, valuation, modeling, IT, and other model users to become knowledgeable users of Nice Engine and confident practitioners of relevant transferable skills (Python, Azure, Visual Studio, Git, Software Engineering basics, etc.). This role will also be responsible for setting the onboarding standards, tailoring curriculums to individuals on the client team, writing articles that are relevant for training purposes, developing case studies, and incorporating lessons learned into future onboarding activities. This is an individual contributor role. It has potential to grow into a Chief Onboarding Officer position responsible for oversight of all onboarding operations of Nice Technologies.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop an effective onboarding plan for Nice Engine users in PRT or LRT organizations.
- Lead onboard planning for each client.
- Coach individual users of Nice Engine through their work based on their current skillset.
- Teach missing skillset to individual users using combination of coaching sessions, documentation references, tutorials, or other methods most fitting for the individual.
- Incorporate lessons learned into the future onboarding process.
- Write articles, record podcasts, and design diagrams and infographics to expand our documentation for onboarding purposes.
- Collaborate closely with technical partners to provide the best onboarding advice and experience possible.
- Thought leadership in user onboarding, education, and actuarial skillset of the future.
- Stay current on onboarding trends in the industry and advise on how it would affect Nice Technologies.
- Write blog posts about your onboarding leadership experience.
- Plan and execute appropriate speaking opportunities.
- Engage with SOA on modeling education and actuarial skillset of the future.

We are a hybrid organization with an office in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and a remote partner in California. The work location is flexible as we are a very results-oriented organization.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of actuarial experience as ASA or FSA.
- 7+ years of experience with pension pricing, valuation, and modeling operations.
- 5+ years of teaching, coaching, or raising kids experience.
- Knowledge of technologies such as Python, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, SQL Server, Git, Excel, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Nice to Have Qualifications
- 2+ years of programming experience in Python or similar language.
- Experience leading or working at a startup.
- Social media presence as a thought leader.
- Master’s degree, FSA, or EA designations.
