CEO

I have been passionate about programming since the age of 13, when I convinced my parents to invest in a PC, not for gaming (or so I claimed), but to master coding. Originally from Russia, I moved to the United States after high school, quickly picked up English, and earned a degree in mathematics. After a brief stint as a high school teacher, I discovered my true calling in software engineering and actuarial science.

I began my career at Prudential Financial as a programmer and later transitioned into the Actuarial Leadership Development Program, becoming an actuary. During my time at Prudential, I built the pioneering PRT/LRT modeling platform, a system still in use a decade later, and used it to successfully price a $2.4 billion Longevity Risk Transfer deal. I continued to advance in my field at Pacific Life, where I led actuarial modeling for the Institutional Division. Along the way, I won (and was a finalist in) multiple innovation challenges, published a paper, and presented at the Society of Actuaries annual conferences.

These experiences revealed a critical need for a fresh, user-friendly approach to actuarial modeling. Driven to solve this industry-wide challenge, I co-founded Nice Technologies. Today, I serve as CEO, guiding the company’s vision to deliver cost-effective, user-centric modeling solutions that make modeling enjoyable.

Outside of work, I am a curious adventurer who has lived and worked on four continents and visited dozens of countries. I enjoy reading, snowboarding, traveling, and scuba diving.
