Igor Nikitin, ASA, MAAA

CEO

Igor has been passionate about programming since the age of 13, when he convinced his parents to invest in a PC—not for gaming (or so he claimed), but to master coding. Originally from Russia, he moved to the United States after high school, quickly picked up English, and earned a degree in mathematics. After a brief stint as a high school teacher, Igor discovered his true calling in software engineering and actuarial science.

He began his career at Prudential Financial as a programmer and later transitioned into the Actuarial Leadership Development Program, becoming an actuary. During his time at Prudential, Igor built the pioneering PRT/LRT modeling platform—a system still in use a decade later—and used it to successfully price a $2.4 billion Longevity Risk Transfer deal. He continued to advance in his field at Pacific Life, where he led actuarial modeling for the Institutional Division. Along the way, he won (and was a finalist in) multiple innovation challenges, published a paper, and presented at the Society of Actuaries annual conferences.

These experiences revealed a critical need for a fresh, user-friendly approach to actuarial modeling. Driven to solve this industry-wide challenge, Igor co-founded Nice Technologies. Today, he serves as CEO, guiding the company’s vision to deliver cost-effective, user-centric modeling solutions that make modeling enjoyable.

Outside of work, Igor is a curious adventurer who has lived and worked on four continents and visited dozens of countries. He enjoys reading, snowboarding, traveling, and scuba diving.
